Rooms are clean, location is close to city attractions, getting a cab is pretty easy from this hotel.
Worst staff I have ever seen. I have stayed at many hotels and for the first time I have heard from things like "I am busy" from hotel staff. All the hotel staff are downright rude. Service is considered as a favour. We arrived at midnight, and inspite of prior information, there was no facility for a bell boy, etc to shift the luggage of our group from the taxi to the room. So we ended up carrying our large luggage (due to a long trip) all by ourselves. Despite prior information, extra bedding was not avialable and we three people were asked to sleep on one small queen bed. Terrible staff. THe only saving grace is the manager, Mr. Michael. He is nice man, and was extremely helpful.Wish he could train his staff better. Worst staff is during the breakfast. THe breakfast is pretty below averagishish. Only cold mild for tea, no choice of eggs. Snail slow service and repeated requests to get simple things. The price is not low enough to justify this. Pay the same and get better service at other hotels.
Nice, clean hotel in China Town; walking distance from main sites. Good location for taxis, public transport sys., Even the Hop On and Off Bus stops there. Safe place, no worries. 5 Elements management is REALLY helpful, in particular I would like to mention here Maha, who is a great organizer, speaks good English and always there to help you! THANKS Maha! Also, they can arrange great tours for you; nice addition. Thanks, Paul, USA Professor of Engineering
1. The breakfast staff is quite unfriendly. Whilst the selection of the food is quite good (mostly backed and fried Chinese style food...), they offer you only water as a soft drink; you have to ask specially for juices of which they have very limited selections and clearly trying to save it... To whom? In a country where orange and mango grows everywhere...? 2. The fans are very noisy in the rooms even at min. cool aircon levels... you get used to it but definitely very noisy... The location is great being in Chinatown, close to Petaling street without the noise and hassle. Pasar Seni metro station and other transport was all within easy reach. The rooms are spacious with great lighting. We also got a free upgrade to one of the upper floor 'elements' rooms which have a pretty good view.
Although the bedding and essentials were fresh and clean, the floor had not been vacuumed recently and the shower was pretty grubby. The rooms definitely need a better clean, given that this is not budget/backpacker accommodation.
The best part of our stay was the cooperation of a lovely person and a gentleman called mr.micheal.he was very good and caring towards our whole family.
The only hitch was the non availibility of a bell boy to carry our luggage to the room.other than this everything was fantastic and rooms were very good with a fantastic views of petronas and kl tower.
I would personally not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting kl, hotel staff is not flexible with dates, the toilet was leaking, and my room had cockroaches. Considering the fact that I chose the elements floor which is like a premier floor, I dont think it was worth my money or my stay.PS They're brkfast buffet was cold on 4 consecutive days!!!
nice position, near the station. friendly staff.
the second day cant use the wifi service.
Close to China Town.
The charge posted on Booked.net doesn't include vat and compulsory service charge. I was confused.
The location, the staff responded directly on our requests.
The rooms are a bit poorly maintained and are not cleaned properly. Next to this the airconditioning is really very loud and noisy.
Overall my stay dere was fantastic.everything was up to my expectations.
Nothing at all.deres nothing bad about this hotel.
Locations near China Town is excellent
I stayed at this hotel last year and was very happy with an excellent room. This time, my room was tired and dowdy. The electronic key failed to work twice ( meaning trips back to reception, once with all my bags ) and the electric jug didn't work ( but was promptly replaced ). A hotel in need of a manager.
Good value for money and well located. 5mins walk from the rapid KL station (which is 2 mins by train from KL Sentral). Room was very comfortable and clean
Keep the door to the bathroom closed - mine had no air con and a gap between the window and the wall and I found a couple of insects that had flown in, but nothing to bother about and easy to deal with once the light is off they won't turn up. Nothing was in the main bedroom area. I'd still recomed the hotel if you get a good price for it.
Right in the heart of Chinatown. Walking distance to Monorail and LRT station.
The bathroom sink has a big cracked. Although the room was clean a renovation in the bathroom would help make it looked less dingy. Breakfast buffet was horrible.
The helpful man at reception who acted as a guide and reccomended us places to go.
Staff was helpful, fighting against the odds. Location is good
Where do I begin? Noisy fridge, aircon, shabby room and corridors (pictures on website/Booked.net show it 5 time as good as it is), semi-dark breakfast area. Plus we had a room which was connected to the next one by a no-noise-insulation door. We could smell the cigarette smoke from the next room and listen to the happy package tourists shouting all night. To the hotel staff's credit, they told them not not smoke in their rooms, but to no avail. In short, don't stay there. If this is the best option in Chinatown (we did not try others there) then don't stay in Chinatown. Far better value for money can be had in KLCC area.
I think that I am good entirely except a breakfast menu. Do not need many dishes but need more idea.
